Our client, who lived South of Boston, had purchased a new vehicle. Our client was stopped by police in Leominster for failing to have registered the vehicle and for not having the right plates. The police also discovered that our client’s driver’s license had expired.
Attorney Alexander Conley was hired to represent our client. Before our client had to appear in Court, they were able to renew their license, and fully register their vehicle. Attorney Conley presented this information to the District Attorney’s Office, and convinced them to dismiss all charged prior to arraignment. Additionally, Attorney Conley was able to accomplish this without our client needing to physically appear across the State from his home.
A dismissal prior to arraignment allows for an individual to not have an entry on their criminal record. This is preferable to the more common dismissals after arraignment, which still result in an entry on your criminal record, which can be accessible in some circumstances.
